José María Ponce Mallo, born February 6, 1963 in Santander, where in search of a spiritual life, studying in Humanities and Sciences, which leads him to have their first contact with art through religion, fully dedicated to the restoration of churches throughout the peninsula.
His trips also stop at the city of Paris in the 90's, where concern Art takes you relate to the world of music, poetry and painting, working as a lyricist with various songwriters like Paco Ibáñez and others.
The painting took him a while to settle in the area of Montmartre, where he consolidated his passion for color and scenes from daily life. Always restless, he moved to the town of Barbizon near Fontainebleau Forest, in the footsteps of artists such as Albert Charpin, Millet, founders of the Barbizon School of Art "
Back in Spain, and trying to throw concepts like romantic fatalism, create a youthful work, colorful and full of spirituality based on the everyday, exploring all kinds of techniques and including the reliefs in their works.
In 2008 he moved to Barcelona, where he has exhibited his work in various regions: Comarca del Maresme (Mataró), Bajo Llobregat (Vilamoura), among others. Not forgetting their way through cities such as Santiago de Compostela (A Coruña) Zumarraga (Guipuzcoa).
Today, he set up home in Cantabria, where, thanks to new technologies, their work comes to cities in Spain Europe.
